I needed to shoot my rifles and get ready for Montana next week so we decided to drive to Jacksboro Friday night and listen to the football game on the radio and hunt Saturday morning. Tucumcari Day 1 Hoss and Cory’s Antelope
After we loaded Cody's antelope we checked in with Nate and Hoss and they weren't far away so they met us at the gate and we went through the congratulations and story telling again. We headed back to the house to get the antelope clean and they decided to look for a nice buck for Hoss. Cory and I were doing a fine job of quartering the animal when we heard a shot in the distance and knew Hoss had connected. I've known Hoss over 30 years and Cory over 20 and Nate's my brother so we are pretty familiar with each other so to say there's some bad jokes and smack talking would be an understatement but the worst line of the trip goes to Hoss for this comment that made me laugh.
