It’s better than work

I waited all winter for it to get cold so we could go catch the blue cat at Lake Tawakoni. Being cold is not a requirement for the blue cat as much as it is for me,  I just want it to be cold when I catch them, it seems funner to me when I may get some frost bite. Last Run to Mertzon

My phone starts ringing. Who calls anymore? I thought everyone just texted unless it was real important. I see it says, Brown. This is gonna be good, he must've killed a big deer. I answer, "what's up Brown". He says "Coondog I killed a doe" I say "ok?" He says "the bad news is I need 72 more killed in the next month" and that is how this trip got started. Culling Texas Whitetail

After several rain delays we were finally headed down to Irion county to take some whitetail does and it couldn't come soon enough. I have had the worst bow season that I think I ever had. It started with flooding before season started and I had to clean up camp and find all my belongings, this happens, we needed the rain so no big deal.
