Take What Africa Gives You

Take what Africa gives you is an old saying that I always thought to mean, just go hunt and see what you see. I guess different people can translate it different but to me it's like saying don't worry about how big or what animal and don't pass up animals looking for bigger animals, just take what Africa gives you. Makuya Park South Africa Fishing and Camping

When planning our South Africa trip I wanted to catch a tiger fish but to get to really good tiger fishing that would require more travel so when I came across a post on an African Hunting page about tiger fish in Limpopo it peaked my interest. Bossie Mostert of Limpopo Big Game Safaris said he had a place on the Luvuvhu River that borders Kruger National Park with tiger fish in it and we could spend a few days there in addition to a hunt. Let’s Talk About Predators

Most folks predator hunt after deer season and before spring turkey season. Cold winter is prime time for furs. Here in Texas there isn't much of a prime time, we do occasionally get a cold spell that last a few weeks but for the most part furs are never really good. I don't chase the pointy tooth critters for the fur anyway. I will sell some hides if they are decent but my goal is fun and population control.
